HZ9420 Multi-Threat Suit, Chem Bio Suit

HZ9420 Multi-Threat Suit

Homeland Defender ™ suits from Blauer are made with GORE Chempak fabrics that provide the confidence needed to get the job done. Certified to the NFPA 1994 and 1992 standard on Protective Ensembles for First Responders to CBRN Terrorism Incidents (2007 edition), Blauer’s HZ9420 Multi-Threat provide the protection required to operate in the Hot-Zone. Homeland Defender ™ suits are independently certified to strict design and protective performance requirements.

Designed for Tactical Operations and Search and Rescue Missions

This multi-wear ensemble is designed to provide protection against a variety of threats, including chemical and biological terrorism agents with the lightweight GORE ® CHEMPAK Ultra Barrier fabric, a thin, lightweight, and high-strength PTFE film with a tough NOMEX outer shell. When combined with the streamlined and functional design of the Homeland Defender, it delivers outstanding protection and creates a significant reduction in weight and bulk. This provides a greater range of motion, increased mobility, and ease in donning and doffing. The HZ9420 suit is designed specifically for tactical operations where speed, comfort and durability are crucial.

Gore principally designed the Homeland Defender for high-levels of vapor impermeability, and the HZ9420 Multi-Threat Suit is certified for Hot-Zone Operations where levels of hazardous agents are immediately detrimental to life and health. Worn with the proper SCBA mask and components, HZ9420 protects against vapor and liquid hazards that may be present during terrorist incidents, industrial accidents and natural disasters. A tough NOMEX outer shell provides additional protection from flash fires:

  • Tactical Operations: Military and Law Enforcement, CBRNE Interdiction, Drug Raids, CBRNE Response, Critical Infrastructure Protection and Quick Response Forces
  • Decontamination
  • Civil Support Teams, CERFP Teams, USAR Teams: Search and Rescue, Decontamination, Triage, Medical Operations,
  • “HotZone” rescue

The Homeland Defender interfaces with commonly used CBRN breathing systems, chest pocket, thigh pockets, hook and loop ID tabs, hook and loop belt loops for duty belts.

The HZ9420 Multi-Threat provides significant cooling when water is sprayed or poured on the exterior of the suit, providing convection and conductive cooling for the wearer without compromising the wearer or the garment.
